The Recreation Ground was donated for the benefit of the community by John Henry Silley in 1919, and has been owned and managed by the Tidenham War Memorial and Recreation Ground Trust for over 50 years.
Play equipment and benches are provided by the Parish Council, and the exercise equipment has been very kindly donated by the local WI. The Recreation Ground is located between Castleford Hill and Mopla Road, and runs parallel to Coleford Road.
Both Tidenham and Garden City football clubs use the football pitches at the Castleford Hill end of the Rec, as does Dean Close/St. John’s on the Hill School.
Please note that dogs are not allowed on the Rec at any time, nor are barbecues or open fires permitted. Dogs are more than welcome in Shirley’s Grove, adjacent to the Rec on Mopla Road.
If you’d like to arrange a private booking of some or all of the Recreation Ground, please visit our Bookings page!
